Every MCP tool Sentio Connect exposes, with arguments and results
Sentio Connect exposes nine tools. Seven are read-only; two (add_wallet_address, remove_wallet_address) change your tracked-address list and need a connection with the mcp:write scope. Each tool belongs to a capability you can turn off.
You don't call these tools yourself — your assistant picks them based on your question. This page helps you understand what the assistant can do and write better prompts.
Common arguments

Wallet & balances
get_wallet_balances
Capability: Token balances · read-only
Native coin and token balances, each valued in USD.

Each token row includes symbol, address, decimals, amount, price and value.
get_token_balance_history
Capability: Token balances · read-only
How one wallet's balance of one token changed over the last 24 hours or 7 days.
- Arguments:

timestamp,amount,priceUsd(the price at that instant) andvalueUsd
History takes one portfolio scan per point and can take tens of seconds. Assistants call it for one holding at a time.
get_portfolio_value
Capability: Portfolio value · read-only
Total USD value across every tracked wallet, broken down per address and chain. Takes no arguments.
list_wallet_addresses
Capability: Tracked addresses · read-only
The wallets you track and the chain each is tracked on. Takes no arguments.
add_wallet_address
Capability: Tracked addresses · write (mcp:write)
Start tracking a wallet from the conversation.
- Arguments:
address(0xaddress,.ethname, or Sui address),chain(defaults to1) - ENS names are resolved before saving.
- Idempotent: adding a wallet you already track returns the existing entry.
remove_wallet_address
Capability: Tracked addresses · write (mcp:write), destructive
Stop tracking a wallet from the conversation.
- Arguments:
address, optionalchain. Passchainto untrack the wallet on one chain; omit it to untrack it everywhere. - Returns the removed entries, or a "not tracked" error when nothing matched.
- The tool is marked destructive, so assistants typically ask you to confirm before running it.

get_token_price
Capability: Token prices · read-only
USD spot price for a token.

DeFi positions
get_defi_positions
Capability: DeFi positions · read-only
Lending, staking, liquidity and reward positions across every chain the Sentio portfolio API covers.
- Arguments: optional
address. Omit it to get every tracked wallet. - Returns: per-protocol totals (asset, debt and reward value) and individual positions, each with
protocolId,protocolName,chain,label,valueUsdand its asset / debt / reward components.
get_defi_position_history
Capability: DeFi positions · read-only
How the size of one DeFi position changed over the last 24 hours or 7 days, valued at today's prices — so the curve shows deposits, withdrawals, accrued debt and rewards, not price moves.
- Arguments:
address,chain,protocol(the position'sprotocolId),label,range - Like token history, this is slow and runs for one position at a time.
Interactive cards
In hosts that support MCP Apps, such as Claude and ChatGPT, get_wallet_balances and get_defi_positions render as interactive cards. Click a row to chart that holding's history without leaving the conversation. Other hosts, such as Codex, show the same data as text.
